What’s the deal with Everett Lynch on ? He seems like a nice enough guy, a hard worker, charming with both Stephanie and her parents. So what’s the deal on him ghosting Stephanie back in Seattle? Yeah, yeah, yeah, he says he was in a coma. Which is certainly a common soap malady. But then there’s also his past with Jada. He did a number on her, too. Could there be a medical reason for his constant disappearing acts?
Just because Everett (Blake Berris) is a good reporter and a moral crusader when it comes to the drug epidemic in Salem which, at last count, cost fewer lives than than the number of people who spontaneously combust per year, does not mean he is
If he’s one of those my career comes first boyfriends/husbands, then it makes sense that he bails as soon as a better story comes along.
Of course, there is also the possibility that Everett suffers from a medical condition — physical or mental — that comes and goes. And, when it comes, he goes — in order to protect the women he loves. That could have been the case with Jada (Elia Cantu) and with Stephanie (Abigail Klein). Everett may be reluctant to disclose his illness, and just as reluctant to force anyone else to suffer when he does. Leaving becomes the logical — and the kind — thing to do.
If Everett is suffering from something, then it’s unlikely he knows about it. He could have periodic mental breakdowns from the stress of his job. Or, a split personality named…uh…Neverett. Yeah, that’s the ticket. Neverett periodically takes over Everett’s life. And since he doesn’t remember those days, he assumes he was in a coma. Abigail (Marci Miller) would understand.
