The insider revealed that Lopez’s mom has never been the biggest fans of Affleck. The pair dated in the early 2000s and were nearly ready to walk down the aisle, before breaking up in 2004. They reconciled in 2021, only to finally tie the knot in 2022, but Lopez’s mom seems unconvinced that he’s the one for her daughter, even after so much time.
“They both want their moms to fly in and spend time together, but Christine [Affleck] has never really gelled with Lupe [Lopez], so they've always been tactfully kept apart,” they shared.
Moreover, Ben’s brother Casey Affleck may also not be joining the festivities. The same source says that Casey is disenchanted with his brother and sister-in-law’s lavish lifestyles and would prefer to spend the holidays doing something more low-key.

Affleck and Lopez haven’t commented on the speculation surrounding their Christmas plans (or family drama), which isn’t surprising for the couple. Despite being the subject of divorce rumors all year, they’ve declined to confirm or deny any of the speculation.
