Chandler Bing is one of the most memorable sitcom characters. A loyal friend who's armed with witty jokes and sarcasm, Chandler was brilliantly portrayed by Matthew Perry in the hit show . As Chandler and Joey enjoy their new Barça loungers and big-screen television, Ross deals with a crisis at work. While on the phone with someone at the museum, Ross expresses his dissatisfaction that some of the museum displays are from incorrect eras of history.
After hearing Ross tell the museum that Australopithecus was never erect, Chandler tells Ross that perhaps he was nervous, only to get a glare from Ross. While it was obvious that Ross and Chandler were referring to two completely different definitions of erect, Chandler's joke took the conversation into a whole new direction for some great comedy that he was known for.
Season 3 finds Joey buying an entertainment center for his apartment with Chandler, which turns out to be a more expansive job than originally expected. Chandler could not be clearer to Joey that he does not want the entertainment center, but Joey continues on anyway.
As Chandler sleeps in his room, he is jolted awake by an electric drill coming into the wall a mere inches away from his face. He storms out to Joey, who expresses remorse if he got Chandler with the drill. Chandler retorts with an all-time great line: Perry's delivery of the line is impeccable, as the normally easygoing Chandler adds a bit of anger to this joke for good reason.
In the very first episode of the series, the friends do their best to cheer up Ross, whose wife Carol has just left him. Just when Ross says that he just wants to be married again, in a wedding dress.
Chandler does his best to seize the luck of the moment by saying, , but his wish does not seem to be granted. It was one of Chandler's first jokes on the series, and it only gave viewers a small sample of how hilarious the character would be for the next 10 years.
In season 10, Ross goes to get a spray tan but doesn't understand when to stop tanning his front. After getting four layers of tan on his front and none on his back, Ross angrily tells Monica and Chandler that he went to the tanning place that Monica suggested. Chandler's response: .

Season 4 features Rachel throwing a fake party for Ross and Emily to impress her prospective boyfriend Joshua.
As a pregnant Phoebe knocks over some cereal, Chandler calls her a "cereal killer." Monica takes him to task for this bad joke and

Other than Monica, Chandler's most significant relationship in was with Janice. Known for her very annoying personality and voice, Janice was not well-liked amongst the group. Near the end of the series, when Monica and Chandler are buying a house, they are stunned to see Janice as a prospective neighbor.

In season 6, Monica and Chandler run into her ex-boyfriend, Richard (Tom Selleck), and his date on the night . When Richard says that he grew his mustache back, Chandler makes a joke that his date does not have one, which confuses everyone.

Chandler is all about jokes. It is how he functions day to day and is woven into his personality. Sometimes, this gets him into trouble. This situation brilliantly put Chandler's uncomfortable joking into overdrive, as he was already nervous enough to propose to Monica that very night.
Season 8 featured the , and Rachel struggles to make things less awkward with Joey. She goes to Chandler for advice, which is a mistake in itself, and Chandler hits her with a classic line about himself. Chandler tells her:
