star Phoebe Dynevor has looked back on losing out on the role of Lois Lane in James Gunn's .
The actress was among the final contenders to play the reporter in the movie, with the part ultimately going to 's Rachel Brosnahan.
"It was a whirlwind and then I realised that it was over, but it was great," Dynevor told on missing out on the coveted opportunity.
Reflecting on Lois Lane, who has been portrayed by star Margot Kidder, ' Alexandra Daddario and 's Kate Bosworth before, Dynevor said the journalist embodies the type of woman she'd want to play more of in the future.
"She saves Superman," she said. "She's the brains; she's actually the fearless one."
Dynevor will next be seen in spy movie and upcoming thriller , also starring Diane Lane (), Kyle Chandler (), Madeline Brewer (), Zoey Deutch (), Mckenna Grace () and Daryl McCormack ().
She is not expected to be involved in .
Discussing the roles she'd like to take moving forward, Dynevor explained she's learning how to say no in professional contexts.
"I'm gonna say no until something speaks to me," she said. "Those moments that make you go: 'Oh, my God, this is why I do what I do!' are rare.
And that's the best feeling ever."
As for , the deals with both (Ti West's , HBO's ) were finalised in June last year.
"They are not only both incredible actors, but also wonderful people," the director after the casting was made public.
