welcomed to the Amex Stadium on Monday evening, but there was a heartwarming moment ahead of the match. 

A referee's steward was seen on TNT Sport's pre-match coverage proposing to his partner in the tunnel. 

As the feed cut to the images of the moment, Lindsay Hipgrave said to TNT Sports: 'Such a family feel here and there was a special moment earlier when we got to the ground here at the Amex.'  

The man was seen dropping to one knee before popping the question to a lady, who was apparently a member of Brighton's press-room security. 

Members of the Brighton back-room staff were stood around and seemed to be caught off guard by the moment.

They were subsequently seen clapping the pair after the pair embraced in a hug with Hipgrave adding: 'From Seagulls to love birds.' 

Steve Sidwell, who was on punditry alongside Peter Crouch said: 'She looks quite surprised there,' to which the former Liverpool striker responded joking: 'She does yeah, she’s thinking “In the tunnel, really? here"'.

Hipgrave added: 'I'm presuming that's where they met as they work together.

'

Sidwell said to Crouch: 'How would that have gone down with Abby [Clancy]?'

'She’s not as in to football as I’m sure this lady is. She would have given me a slap,' Crouch replied jovially. 

Despite that Crouch added: 'Beautiful moment'.

Brighton will be

Roberto De Zerbi's side have won just once in their last five Premier League matches, but are unbeaten in their last four outings across all competitions. 

Speaking on Brighton, Crouch added before the game that from the football side of things, there is a lot to celebrate at the club, after qualifying for European football last season and their impressive performances in the Europa League this season. 

'I think Brighton are a club that maybe you look at if you're someone like Wolves and you speak to the fans; they're so excited by what the club's achieved in recent years. 

'Just getting into Europe last year, they were pinching themselves. They were almost going out of business as some of the fans said.

'But Wolves feel like a club that's moving in the right direction under Gary O'Neil and we'll see where they are today.
