A new image from the set of may have revealed Paige Swanson's return in season 7. McKenna Grace's recurring guest star role on prequel has her own compelling narrative despite not being a series regular. However, in light of , there have been concerns that Paige won't be able to make a final appearance before the family comedy wraps up.
Those worries are now squashed with an image of Paige actor, McKenna Grace seemingly on the set of , as seen in 's Instagram post. Check out the image below:
The photo itself doesn't give any context as to what Paige and Missy may be up to in season 7. However, the mere idea that they will be reunited is exciting, considering their last dangerous joyride to Florida.
season 7 premieres on February 15, 8 pm ET, on CBS.
Sheldon's fellow child prodigy was introduced in season 2. She was self-aware and sociable, on top of being highly intelligent. Unfortunately, she started struggling after her parents' divorce. season 6 brought her back, significantly moving her story forward, but there's still no definitive ending to her arc. Despite not being a Cooper family member, it's important that Paige's story gets a clear resolution

It's unclear if Swanson will make an appearance in the next spinoff. Considering her ties to the family, particularly with Missy, CBS can continue developing her narrative with the only Cooper daughter. Perhaps they can even properly redeem her after years of being rebellious. If this isn't in the current plan right now, bringing her back in season 7 will allow the series to give her the send-off she deserves as one of the most memorable guest stars on the TV hit.
Given everything else that season 7 needs to tackle before it bows out in May, Paige may just be in a single episode. As disappointing as this may be, seeing her again is better than nothing at all.
Hopefully, however, CBS makes the best out of the time they have with her.
