Jimmy Barnes is back on his feet after .

The 67-year-old rocker took to Instagram on Monday to provide a new update on his health, just days after telling fans he was facing 'a long recovery'.

Looking fit and healthy in new pictures on his social media, Jimmy told followers that he was 'doing more around the house'.

The beloved singer added a gallery of photos to his story, including a pink rose and a photo of a cherry pie baked by his devoted wife Jane.

He also added a photo where can be seen carving up a delicious-looking Sunday roast.

Jimmy Barnes is back on his feet after undergoing heart surgery just last month. The 67-year-old rocker took to Instagram on Monday to provide a new update on his health, just days after telling fans he was facing 'a long recovery' 

'Sunday’s rose,' Jimmy said in the post.

'I can do more around the house now, helping in the kitchen, especially tasting Jane's cherry pie. I’m getting better every day.'

The Cold Chisel frontman posted another story on Monday which featured him standing beside a bouquet of roses, picked fresh from his garden.

A cheerful-sounding Jimmy added the caption: 'One day pie taster, the next, rose picker.

Belted out a bit of a song to see if it all works, looks like it’s going to be fine.'

On Friday, Jimmy told fans his condition had been reviewed by seven specialists. Sharing a photo of himself and his wife Jane, a relieved-sounding Jimmy said: 'Always good to leave the hospital smiling 

It comes days after Jimmy's last check-up following his open heart surgery in December.

Jimmy underwent the procedure after bacterial pneumonia had spread to his heart. 

On Friday, Jimmy told fans his condition had been reviewed by seven specialists.

Sharing a photo of himself and his wife Jane, a relieved-sounding Jimmy said: 'Always good to leave the hospital smiling. 

'There’s still a long road ahead and many more check ups. There was a team of seven specialists working on me, so there is a lot to follow up on... I’m sure it’s saved my life but I cannot wait to be free. 

He also paid tribute to Jane's cooking by adding a photo of beautiful looking meal. 'Thai beef curry is just what the doctor ordered,' Jimmy gushed.
