The owner of a Texas was stunned when he discovered a tiny house on his property and a stranger living inside of it.

Nima Amini, who manages a rental property in East Austin, told that he first discovered the mystery shed on his land earlier this month. He said, 'It was delivered, and we didn’t order it.'

Amini said their cameras caught a man going in and out of the outdoor structure and on Thursday, leading him to call the police.

The stranger, whose name was not disclosed, told Amini he once lived in a home but have been unable to keep a roof over his head. He also told him that his family once owned a home on the land that Amini's Airbnb property is on.

With bitter cold temperatures, Amini let the man stay in the tiny house another night as he tried to figure out who dropped the structure off.

After doing some investigating, he learned that was the company who delivered the outdoor shed.

He told the news outlet he was astonished that the company was able to just drop off the structure on private property without the property owner signing off.

'A simple search on the Travis County Appraisal district search would have showed that he was not the property owner,' he said.

Amini's Airbnb is located in East Austin, and he rents it out to guests visiting the area

Mindy Smith, a realtor and salesperson at Long Star Portables, told DailyMail.com on Friday that her company delivered the structure after the man renting the shed signed a contract saying that he had authorization to place it on the property.

However, it turned out that he did not have authorization, and Lone Star Portables took responsibility to get it moved to a different location.

She said that she spent hours trying to find someone to remove the tiny house from Amini's property, and make his deadline as he wanted the structure gone before the arrival of his Airbnb guests on Saturday.

Lone Star Portables hustled to locate a mover in time to pick up the shed on Friday, but the emergency move would cost them $800.

The man, who rented the shed, was able to gather $500 and paid the company for the move, and the company put up the $300 difference.

Smith told DailyMail.com that she and Amini had a verbal agreement to help the stranger relocate, but later claimed Amini, who appeared empathetic and said he would help the man, went back on his word.

She also expressed how flabbergasted she was that the story went viral.

'We are not in the business of dropping sheds all over the place, Smith said.

'We don't want Lone Star Portables to be painted in a bad light and they made a mountain out of a molehill.'

She said that Amini and his partner threatened them with litigation and claimed they were the ones who took the story public.

'It looked a publicity stunt to me. I have no other idea why they would do that,' Smith said. 'Why was Amini giving the news reporter a tour of the inside of his Airbnb when the story was about a man needing a home.'

'They were more interested in having their Airbnb ready for the $2,000 house guests they were having then helping the man after they said they would.'

Amini did not immediately respond to the DailyMail.

com's request for comment regarding Lone Star Portables' claims.

Smith said Lone Star Portables has already established some new policies going forward for delivering their outdoor structures.

And, wanting to help the stranger in need, Smith gave him a bed, a desk, a heater, and some blankets from her own home to help him.

“I was so confused and insecure. Because I thought I was beautiful. So many people told me I was beautiful. Who am I? I feel like a vase shattered across the ground, and left there in the alleyway. A chandelier that was cut from the ceiling, and then all the people left the house. I can’t imagine on this day, what it would feel like to recover. Am I allowed to be this sad? Am I allowed to lay on the ground in a heap and wail? I want to have hands again, and legs. I want to smile. I want to believe that I can. But again, I want to be sad for the rest of time. I want to wear my sadness in long strands. I want to lay on the ocean floor and weep stalactites. For a hundred years. A tree has fallen onto my chest. The sky is spinning, and it won’t slow down. I don’t want to feel any of this.” A excerpt of an untitled essay from NIGHTBIRDE The NIGHTBIRDE book “Poems for the dark” should be available for presale soon.
