Aus Rock Legend Brian Cadd Crosses To Country

In a move that fans may have expected for years, Australian country-rock legend Brian Cadd is finally going country with his new album, .

The new album is set to land on Friday, 5 April – you can pre-order the album via now. The first pre-orders will arrive with an autographed copy of the album artwork from Brian Cadd himself.  

Known for classics like and , Cadd was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007 and was named a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2018 for his contributions to the Australian music industry.

The first single, , finds Cadd’s rocking voice anchored by a jaunty acoustic guitar and cheerful harmonica, with female backing vocals transforming the track into an instant classic.

In a press release, Cadd said about the country album he’s always been destined to make, “This album has been an exceptional journey. It has taken me so long to actually make a country album; I was unsure how it would feel for me.

“I have been writing country and country-rock songs for many years, yet I remained locked into my ‘Brian Cadd – rock artist’ persona on stage and particularly in the studio.”

He continued, “I am so proud of this album. The studio I chose, the engineer who guided me all the way, and the beautiful ‘cream of country music’ musicians who joined me for the ride, made it all feel so natural and easy, like I’d been doing this forever.

is the follow-up to Brian Cadd’s 2019 album, , which featured a country-rock version of his 1972 track – a song that wasn’t released as a single but was added to high-rotation regardless.

The Australian music legend is touring across the country from this month through to March, starting with an appearance at the in the West Tamworth League Club (Wests) on Wednesday, 24 January, at 5:30 pm.
