Despite numerous nominations, was repeatedly snubbed at the Emmys— and creator Vince Gilligan's next show is even more important for that reason. made its debut back in 2015, and the prequel series quickly gained the same praise the original was known for. Saul Goodman's story proved as compelling as Walter White's, and the show's quality never wavered. For this reason, it was surprising that — though it did have to compete with for four of its six seasons.
Still, it's disappointing that never won an Emmy, even for its gripping final season. While this doesn't make the prequel any lesser, it's a shame the
never got their flowers. And one actor, in particular, deserved an Emmy win for the AMC series. Fortunately, they might get another shot at an award when Gilligan's upcoming show premieres.

Rhea Seehorn played Kim Wexler, Jimmy's love interest and partner in crime throughout and she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series multiple times over its run. Sadly, Seehorn was never able to secure a win in the category.
Most recently, Jennifer Coolidge took home the gold for season 2, confirming that Seehorn would never get her Emmy for playing KimThis was especially disappointing after her performance in , which saw Kim facing the consequences of her actions — a revelation that led to many emotional moments.
While Seehorn's chances of winning for the prequel are over, she'll have another shot at an Emmy soon enough. After playing Kim Wexler for eight years, the actor is moving onto another TV project. It's one that keeps her working with one of creators, giving both of them a chance at redemption.
Although neither party has revealed much about the upcoming show, , which will feature sci-fi elements (via ). Seehorn will star in the unnamed project, while Gilligan takes on a creative role once again. Given that the duo works well together, it's possible Seehorn will give another standout performance in the creator's next show. Taking Gilligan's writing skills into account, it's even probable.
