Though did many things right, it ended up wronging one of its key characters and failing to deliver the story he deserved. At the very least, could have refrained from killing him off, so that he could make appearances throughout the rest of the show and give viewers glimpses into his continued growth.

What Vampire Diaries Was Missing After Tyler Was Killed Off

After Tyler was killed off of , the show lost an element that it needed. It was interesting for viewers to have the chance to see someone stand up to Klaus and put him in his place. The other characters' perspectives tended to show Klaus as more of an antihero, when in reality that wasn't who he was. Tyler, on the other hand, was able to understand that Klaus was a villian, and his story helped to shed light on that fact.
