A cat owner who recently got a new thermal camera decided there was only one perfect model to test it out on—his cat.

Thermal cameras capture and create images of an object through infrared radiation that is emitted from the object, representing the temperature of the object. George Sconyers IV told via Reddit that he occasionally uses the thermal camera for hobby electronic work to help spot a damaged component on a board.

But before using it for electronics, he, of course, had to see if it was accurate. Sconyers shared his test photos on to the subreddit r/cats on January 18, which quickly gathered over 11,300 likes and 261 comments.

Sconyers said he used the as his test subject to get more comfortable with the camera and the result did not disappoint. Viewers are calling it "the prophesy."

The blue, purple, and orange photos make the cat look unworldly. The warmer spots on the cat, and with all thermal cameras, are represented with a yellow-orange hue. The brighter the object gets, the hotter the spot.

The colder spots are shown through blues and purples.

Reddit users are having a field day in the comments, claiming this is a devil cat.

"It's like the eye lasers are powering up," wrote one user.

Another added: "It's their inner demon leaking out."

But users cannot blame the cat for looking like she has hidden powers. Sconyers snapped a photo of his as well and the result is very similar: bright orange eyes and a heated head.

Both the cat and dog's noses are cold, which is a good sign. A helps regulate their body temperature. It also gives them the ability to gather information about their surroundings, according to Rover.

A cat's nose is a little different than a dog's as it fluctuates from cold and wet to warm and dry. However, more often than not, a cat's nose is cold, which is a signal that they are healthy and hydrated.

The good news is that the test models have proved to Sconyers that the thermal camera works.

"It has also turned out to be more useful than I initially thought, like finding a hole in some home insulation just by seeing a section of the ceiling was hotter than the rest," he said.

"You'd be surprised how often a new sense can assist you with things."

And if it didn't work, at least he'd have fun taking more thermal photos of his pets.
