and his wife, Caroline have traded the snowy Nashville weather for some sun among the palm trees and white sandy beaches of the AAA Four Diamond Awarded Moon Palace in Riviera Cancun, Mexico. In a new social media post, the couple is seen posing together in their beachwear and enjoying some downtime in between a weekend of performances as part of Bryan’s annual Crash My Playa event.
The photo showcases them flashing bright smiles while blocking the sun with their fashion-forward sunglasses and floppy hats. Even Caroline’s clever caption showed how much fun they’re having.
She wrote, “Love you to the beach and back….
.”
It’s no surprise to see Bryan’s other half right by his side, as she and other members of his family are often seen accompanying him to the annual destination event. In the past, Caroline has even joined him on stage to take part in the sing-along session of the classic, “Sweet Caroline.”
This year’s Cash My Playa kicked off on January 17 and will continue through Saturday, January 20, making four full nights of country music. Lily Rose opened the event with a pool party, followed by Bailey Zimmerman, Avery Anna, John Langston, DJ Rock and Jon Pardi.
Bryan’s name is on the lineup of headliners for two nights this year, including the Sunday night finale dubbed “Luke & Friends.
” This event will feature the five-time Entertainer of the Year alongside special guests Dierks Bentley and Eddie Montgomery. Jelly Roll and Jon Pardi will also bring the heat with their own headlining sets throughout the week.
Additional special guests include ERNEST, Mitchell Tenpenny, Ashley Cooke, Zach Top, and DJ Rock. Plus, Dustin Lynch made a return to host his highly-anticipated, all-day pool party on Friday afternoon.
As the country stars began arriving earlier this week, several of them took advantage of the extra bonding time by filming some fun content for social media.
The video shared via Ashley Cooke’s Instagram found her, Avery Anna, Bailey Zimmerman, Dustin Lynch, Luke Bryan and Lily Rose sharing their take on a new trend that gives a raw look into the lives of country stars.
Each artist started with the line “We’re country artists, of course we…” and then had to fill in the blank.
A shirtless Zimmerman started things off as he said, “We’re country artists, of course we have too much tequila and lose out shirts,” followed by Cooke who added, “of course everybody says our songs ‘aren’t country.’”
Lynch made sure to get up close and personal with the camera as he let the world know why country artists don’t often tour in November and December.
“It’s deer season,” he said proudly.
Avery Anna put her best country accent on display as she said, “Of course I’m gonna say ‘hey y’all,’ but I’m from Arizona,” which earned her a laugh from her fellow singer/songwriters.
“We’re country artists, of course we can’t sing as well as the pop artists,” Lily Rose said with a bit of side-eye to the camera.
Last to share some insight was Luke Bryan. “We’re country artists, of course we drop that thun thun thun on stage,” he said as he his goofy personality ran wild while quoting the popular song released by The Finatticz in 2012.
Crash My Playa follows the Georgia native’s Las Vegas residency which after a 48-show run. For the last night of his record-breaking, two-year headlining run, Bryan performed to a sold-out crowd at . He first opened the residency on Feb. 11, 2022 and continued to captivate nearly 200,000 fans with his chart-topping hits and pyrotechnic-infused production.
He has yet to announce his next headline tour, but one thing fans can definitely look forward to is seeing him return to the judging panel alongside Lionel Richie and Katy Perry.
The 2024 of is set to air on ABC on Sunday, February 18, and will also be available for streaming via Hulu.
This marks the 22nd run of in total and seven seasons on ABC.
