and can’t seem to escape the divorce rumors, but it may not only be fans who wish to see this couple call it quits. According to a new report, Ben’s long-time friend and collaborator Matt Damon doesn’t see his marriage to J.Lo lasting in the long-run.
a source claim Damon has always had his reservations about Lopez. Growing up as a childhood friend with Affleck, Damon was by his side when he started dating Lopez in the early 2000s.
"Matt's had serious reservations about Bennifer 2.0 since the beginning. He's tried to be publicly supportive for Ben's sake, but the fact is he hates the way J Lo treats his buddy and can no longer hold his tongue,” the source claimed.
Ben and Jen cancelled their wedding days before it was supposed to take place in 2003, citing media pressure, before ending their entire relationship the following year.
However, the pair went on to reconcile in 2021, and finally tied the knot last year. Despite being newlyweds, there have been various reports of marital strife between the couple. But it’s apparently not surprising to Damon.
Apparently, Damon’s disdain is getting in the way of his friendship to Affleck. The insider further claimed that Matt tried warning his friend, which caused Ben to respond in anger.
“History is repeating itself because 20 years ago they stopped talking for the exact same reason. But Matt can't keep quiet, even if it means alienating Ben,” they went on, adding that Damon sees Lopez as too controlling of Affleck.
According to reports, there are various sources of tension in Lopez and Affleck’s relationship.
They’ve been suspected of earlier this year on a mega mansion they bought with cash in 2022.
Moreover, there have been claims that Lopez is bothered by Affleck’s close co-parenting relationship to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three kids. which reports said upset J.Lo, who found the images to be disrespectful even if innocent.
One report claims the singer following the paparazzi snaps. There have also been rumors as she feared a divorce from Affleck. The couple apparently never signed a pre-nup before tying the knot in multiple ceremonies last year.
Despite the rumors of relationship troubles, Lopez and Affleck are
together (they originally met on the set of 2003’s but haven’t worked together since). Ben is currently helping to write Lopez’s new film which will explore the creation of her 9th studio album.
