A dog who has picked up some habits from her feline housemate has gained viral attention after she was caught on camera showing off some seriously cat-like behaviors.

"Miley thinks she's a cat," the caption read alongside that has garnered over 970,000 views on @panini.miley's page.

In the video, miniature Australian shepherd Miley is extra busy tapping her paws on the couch, a gesture that strikingly resembled the endearing cat behavior known as "making biscuits." Her owner explained that she had likely picked this up from her canine housemate, Panini.

"When you've been hanging out with your cat sister too much," joked the text overlay on the video as Miley continued to mimic the feline.

For the uninitiated, "making biscuits" is a term used to describe the rhythmic kneading motion cats make with their paws on soft surfaces. An instinctual action, it is a behavior reminiscent of kittenhood when kittens knead their mother's belly to stimulate milk flow. As cats grow older, it serves various purposes, including marking territory and self-soothing.

With hashtags underneath the video including #identitycrisis and #catdog, the video left viewers in stitches as they rushed to share reactions in the comments section.

"The biscuit factory was behind on orders they needed more help," suggested one comment. While another viewer said it was "the most frantic biscuit energy the factory has ever seen."

Another viewer joked: "She's the cats sous chef at the biscuit factory!"

"She's so proud of herself! 'Look - I'm a cat now.'" pointed out another comment. While one fellow pet owner said that Miley isn't the only one: "Omg my dog does this too!! Raised with cats as well."

While traditionally different in their communication styles and instincts, a study by Feuerstein and Terkel previously indicated that, with proper socialization, cats and dogs can coexist harmoniously—and even adopt each other's behaviors.

It turns out it isn't just dogs that pick things up either, it also happens in reverse. Like the who took the internet by storm last year, or the cat that seemed to become a dog after watching and copying dog actions and mannerisms.

“I was so confused and insecure. Because I thought I was beautiful. So many people told me I was beautiful. Who am I? I feel like a vase shattered across the ground, and left there in the alleyway. A chandelier that was cut from the ceiling, and then all the people left the house. I can’t imagine on this day, what it would feel like to recover. Am I allowed to be this sad? Am I allowed to lay on the ground in a heap and wail? I want to have hands again, and legs. I want to smile. I want to believe that I can. But again, I want to be sad for the rest of time. I want to wear my sadness in long strands. I want to lay on the ocean floor and weep stalactites. For a hundred years. A tree has fallen onto my chest. The sky is spinning, and it won’t slow down. I don’t want to feel any of this.” A excerpt of an untitled essay from NIGHTBIRDE The NIGHTBIRDE book “Poems for the dark” should be available for presale soon.
