The Strong Women Brady Black Forgot For DAYS

As Theresa came down from her ecstasy trip (or whatever it was she took) on , Brady Black patronized her by saying she was the strongest woman he’d ever met. Did he mean it, or was he just humoring a stoned woman? If he was humoring her, then no harm, no foul. But if Brady truly meant it, we’d like to nominate three ladies he forgot, who deserve the title much more than Theresa.

Ex Marks the Spot

Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) ex, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) overcame an abusive childhood. Theresa (Emily O’Brien) was raised by the ridiculously understanding and forgiving Kimberly (Patsy Pease) and Shane (Charles Shaughnessy).

In just the past few weeks, Nicole has lost her newborn son and is now sitting vigil at the bedside of her comatose daughter ().

Theresa is also upset about a comatose Holly (Ashley Puzemis). But only as it applies to Theresa’s precious baby boy, Tate (Jamie Martin Mann). Theresa was so upset about Tate that she decided to get high. Nicole is staying strong for Holly. Remind us who the stronger woman is here, again?

Like a Mother

Brady’s stepmother, Marlena (Deidre Hall), loved and raised Brady — even during his teen years when he decided to be obnoxious to her for no apparent reason.

Marlena lost a child, she lost her twin sister, she lost — and regained — multiple husbands, she’s been kidnapped, fallen into a coma, and died and came back from the dead. A couple of times. And let’s not forget about being possessed by the Devil. All without the self-pitying spiral Theresa subjected Brady — and us — to.

Brought To You By

And then there’s Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). She gave up her daughter for adoption. She lost husband Mickey and, more recently, husband Victor (John Aniston). She lost her son, , and is always there for her hot mess of a daughter, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey).

Oh, and Maggie is a recovering alcoholic, who goes out of her way to help others with substance abuse issues. Does Theresa do…any of that?

Yeah. Brady had to be humoring her.

“I was so confused and insecure. Because I thought I was beautiful. So many people told me I was beautiful. Who am I? I feel like a vase shattered across the ground, and left there in the alleyway. A chandelier that was cut from the ceiling, and then all the people left the house. I can’t imagine on this day, what it would feel like to recover. Am I allowed to be this sad? Am I allowed to lay on the ground in a heap and wail? I want to have hands again, and legs. I want to smile. I want to believe that I can. But again, I want to be sad for the rest of time. I want to wear my sadness in long strands. I want to lay on the ocean floor and weep stalactites. For a hundred years. A tree has fallen onto my chest. The sky is spinning, and it won’t slow down. I don’t want to feel any of this.” A excerpt of an untitled essay from NIGHTBIRDE The NIGHTBIRDE book “Poems for the dark” should be available for presale soon.
