Saweetie was spotted for the first time following news of her split with rapper YG, as she attended late Kobe Bryant's daughter Natalia's 21st birthday party on Saturday

The outing comes a few days after Saweetie and 33-year-old rapper YG ended their relationship mutually, according to a source close to the situation who spoke with .

The two — who were  in Beverly Hills — 'both feel as though they’d be better off as friends,' they added.

One thing that made them doubt if their relationship would work was how caught up they both were in their music careers, the source continued.

However, some fans believe YG clapped back at the split news when he took to his Instagram to share a  and captioned it, 'Only block I'm tryna spin''.

Speculations about Saweetie and YG being a couple surfaced when they were seen getting close at Coachella in April 2023. 

Confirming their romance, the lovebirds went public in May of that year, showcasing plenty of affection during a romantic trip to Mexico. 

YG highlighted their relationship in July 2023 when he joined his girlfriend on her single Birthday, which was released the same month as her birthday.

Despite their hot and heavy displays, the couple seem to have flown under the radar — at least compared to Saweetie's previous relationship with Quavo.
