Darius Rucker Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Rucker was surrounded by friends and family on Monday (December 4th) as he became the latest Country music star and Grammy winner to receive a star on the , after receiving a spot to the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville in October.

“This is stuff you don’t even dream about when you’re from South Carolina…all I ever wanted was to be a singer, but you never dream that this stuff is going to happen,” said Rucker. “You think about all that stuff, and you have to believe in fate, because one step to the left or one step to the right, and I’m not here talking to you. So you just thank God everything happened the way it did.

On November 29th, the South Carolina native reacted to the news on social media saying, “IS THIS REAL?!?! Honored to receive the 2,766th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Rucker’s star is close to his good buddy and hero Charley Pride who passed away in 2020. He joins country music stars , , , , Alabama, , and more in receiving this achievement.

Since the makings of Rucker’s band in a little dorm room at the University of South Carolina, he’s sold over 25 million records, obtained three Grammy awards, has had four No. 1 albums on the Country chart, 10 No. 1 singles at country radio and many multi-platinum songs.

His latest album, , which is home to latest singles “Fires Don’t Start Themselves” and “Never Been Over” is available now on all digital streaming platforms.
