Nashville, Tennessee experienced a historic snowfall event on Monday (Jan. 15) with a record-breaking average of 8 inches, according to the . Music City found itself under a winter storm warning on Monday, followed by frigid temperatures and a wind chill advisory on Tuesday (Jan. 16). With most of Nashville shut down due to the winter weather conditions and many roads left impassable, country music artists were left with nothing to do but enjoy the snow. 

With a winter wonderland outside their front doors, many artists found ways to entertain themselves amid the cold. Some frolicked with their families, others enjoyed the snow with their dogs, many took in the winter landscape with their significant others, and some by themselves.

No matter how they chose to have fun in the snow, it’s clear that this sudden weather event brought a few days of peace to the usually busy lives of these country music stars. The layer of snow gave them a short break from the hustle and bustle of life as musicians, letting them relax and enjoy the calm and beautiful scene that nature had covered Nashville with. 

Amid the snow-covered city, country stars like Sam Hunt, Luke Combs, Kelsea Ballerini, Wynonna Judd, and many more, shared glimpses of their joyful snow days on social media, capturing heartwarming moments and creating cherished memories in the winter chill.

Sam Hunt shared a photo holding his daughter, Lucy Louise, with a simple caption, “Snow Day!” 

According to Nicole Combs’ Instagram stories, Luke Combs spent the day in the snow with his oldest son, Tex. 

Wynonna Judd’s snow day was filled with family, good food, and moments by the fire. 

Kelsea Ballerini took a different approach to the frigid temps and decided to lounge in her hot tub with her boyfriend Chase Stokes.

New mom Kimberly Perry introduced her son, , to the snow for the first time. 

Caleb Lee Hutchinson coined himself the “Undisputed Snowball Fighting Champion of the World” after playing in the snow. 

Chris Janson created what he dubbed the “redneck ski mobile’ and pulled his son in a boat behind his truck.

Randall King ventured out to Music Row to see an advertisement for his upcoming album, Into the Neon, displayed near his label home, Warner Music Nashville.

“I heard they killed country music down on music row…but here we are…,” he wrote. 

Rising star Chase Matthew wasn’t willing to let the snow keep him from enjoying life. He hopped into his truck and did donuts in a nearby parking lot. 

Erin Kinsey took selfies with her dog, who was “in his natural habitat” in the cold. 

Old Dominion’s Matt Ramsey cruised around in his Jeep, which is pretty much the only way to get around Nashville at this point. 

RaeLynn and her daughter embraced the colder temps and stepped outside for an adorable mommy/daughter photoshoot.

Warren Zeiders joked that he was “up to snow good.”

The latest weather reports show that the temperature in Nashville isn’t expective to get much above freezing until early next week, so the snow just might stick around a bit longer.
