To ring in the new year, the duo shared to the Jessica Simpson Collection Instagram account, wishing their followers a new year “filled with peace, laughter, love and many new adventures to inspire."
In the snapshot, the mother-daughter wear looks suited to their personal styles.
Jessica, 43, wears an all-black outfit, featuring a mesh top over a lace bra and a micro mini skirt cinched with a bedazzled oversize belt.
“Birdie said it was Santa’s,” Jessica wrote in the comment section, revealing how her , whom she shares with husband , reacted to the Y2K statement piece.
The rest of her outfit consists of sheer rights and heeled boots. She also piled on the bling, accessorizing her monochromatic ‘fit with layers of chain link bracelets and chunky necklaces. Her hair is styled in loose waves.
Meanwhile, Tina, 63, opted for a more vibrant and festive look, featuring a raspberry-red knit top, dark wash jeans cuffed at her calves and plaid lace-up platform boots.
Like her daughter, Tina piled on the bling and wore her hair down in a wavy style, topped off with what appear to be new bangs.
The two amped up their looks with matching red lips, which had fans calling them sisters.
“You and your momma look so much alike! So much beauty!” one of their Instagram followers wrote.
On Nov. 29, Jessica and Tina took their flair to the Footwear News Achievement Awards, where actress was honored with the for creating "one of fashion’s longest-running success stories" with her billion-dollar eponymous brand, which spans across a variety of categories including clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty and more.
Jessica shimmered in a sheer bedazzled nude gown and silver platform heels, while Tina, her date for the night, sparkled in a black sequin jumpsuit paired with a black blazer, beaded earrings and a silver belt with medallions.

Ahead of the ceremony, Jessica spoke with PEOPLE exclusively on the red carpet about some of her fashion essentials, including her talked-about clothing inspired by the early 2000s.
“I feel like I've never really left that style,” the fashion mogul and musician said.
And while she’s created plenty of shoe silhouettes as a footwear designer, Simpson herself stays true to one in particular. “ when it comes to a shoe. I have my staples and they end up being a little Y2K-[inspired].”
