star has dropped a major hint that he could fight at UFC 300 - which will take place in April. 

The undefeated star  Kamaru Usman via unanimous decision at UFC 294 last year and has not fought since. In typical Chimaev fashion, 'Borz' took him 'The Nigerian Nightmare' down immediately and ultimately controlled the fight. 

With the middleweight prospect eyeing up a showdown with the winner of Sean Strickland and Dricus du Plessis - fans are desperate to see the 29-year-old back in the cage soon.

Well, it would appear that they will not have to wait long, after he took to Instagram to tease fans that he may return on April at UFC 300 after posting a picture of himself in training with '300' spaced out.

His post comes soon after  revealed card on April 13 this year. will take on with the BMF title on the line between the two fan favourites in .

While a showdown with the winner of  Strickland and Du Plessis seems more likely, Chimaev has given his dream match-up - and it may surprise MMA fans.

Despite there being multiple weight classes between Chimaev and heavyweight champion Jon Jones, 'Borz' reveals Jones' accolades in the sport would make him a dream fight for anyone aspiring to be great.

Speaking on the , Chimaev said: 'Jon Jones still is the best fighter in the world right now,.

'He has most title defenses, he's a two-weight class champion, he never lost still. He's the youngest champion in UFC (history). If you speak about MMA, everyone knows Jon Jones.

In history, (there is) nobody like him.

'So for sure he's dream match for everyone who wants to be in the history (books). I'm younger than him. I hope he's not going to go soon from this job, get this fight as well. When I (grew) up – I like him, I like his training. I watched his training, I learned a lot of stuff from him. We spoke about training so we can maybe train together. He's a nice guy. We were speaking and joking around.'

'Borz' was then quizzed on who he think would win if they were both in their prime. 

'Depends which weight class,' Chimaev said. 'He's now a heavyweight. You're asking me? For sure I think I will win.

That's a hard fight for everyone. He fought two times with my training partner Alexander Gustafsson – they had good fight.

'So I become a fighter with Alex, been training with him. For sure I want to fight with (Jones) so it will be a big history if we fight.

Since Alex gave him the best fight in history, now maybe it's my time to fight him, as well.'

The 29-year-old recently . Earlier this month, 'Borz' uploaded a montage of photos - which showed a swollen face and a rash all over his body - but failed to reveal what illness he was suffering from.

'I was very sick, my hand was injured, so I couldn't return right away, he captioned the post.

'I want to tell all the fountains, I want to see myself in battle more than all of you, I love this job, I will do and prove that I am the best, as always we do. I will be back soon to Insha'Allal training.'
