has just dropped the official trailer for the upcoming series .
Set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Feb. 21, is a dark sci-fi series starring Noomi Rapace (, ). also stars, marking the first major TV series for the actor after wrapping up the spinoff series, , in 2022. Rapace and Banks can both be seen in the new trailer below.
Per the official synopsis, stars Rapace as Jo, an "an astronaut who returns to Earth after a disaster in space – only to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing
. The action-packed space adventure is an exploration of the dark edges of human psychology, and one woman's desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and recover all that she has lost." Banks plays Henry, a physicist involved with the research conducted by Jo's team on the .
Peter Harness (, ) created the series. The show also stars James D'Arcy (), Julian Looman (), William Catlett (), and Barbara Sukowa (). It also introduces Rosie and Davina Coleman as "Alice." Emmy winner Michelle MacLaren (), Oscar nominee Oliver Hirschbiegel (), and Oscar nominee Joseph Cedar (
) serve as the series directors.
MacLaren is very familiar with Banks, as she won two Primetime Emmy Awards as a producer for . She also directed several episodes of the hit show. MacLaren would later continue to work with Banks and the team by helming multiple episodes of . She directed one of the final episodes of the series, the critically-acclaimed "Nippy," which also featured Carol Burnett in a key role.
